Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born and brought up in California, America. She began the modeling profession in Italy. Her first acting role was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure the role in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was extremely intense. She struggled with the transition to acting because models weren't considered skilled actors and generally were offered smaller roles. Amy was determined to succeed and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been looking for more than a decade. She continued with significant films like the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was the well-loved character of recurring.
