Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19th, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to a poor family of twelve children that would be raised in the same household, understood very young how to overcome of the challenges she encountered with her extraordinary and vibrant imagination. Before she learned to write or read, she was writing her own songs. After 8 years of age, she got her first guitar. At age 11 she started singing on the local radio station in Knoxville, Tennessee. At the same time when she began recording her debut album Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. Even though she was still in school, she had already made a name of herself within the local community. Her goal was to become more recognized. She moved to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female performer to join his syndicated show from the beginning. Parton was appointed in the year 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Parton, after the split of their association with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'm Always Loving You and made it to the top spot at No. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Love You climbed to the top spot at No.
